RESPA (14RS)

By completing this course you will be introduced to every part of the RESPA legislation. The course will explain each section of the law, provide examples and guidance on the requirements of the law, review all relevant real estate settlement documents, and provide very practical guidance on how to develop and implement a RESPA Quality Control program that will protect you and your clients in the Real Estate Settlement transaction process.
HUD-1 and HUD-1A
A brief, but comprehensive, overview of the facts about the HUD-1 and HUD-1A forms, regulations and rules regarding preparation and delivery of the forms to a borrower, and penalties for failure to conform to the regulations. We will also explore the relationship between the HUD-1 (and/or HUD-1A) and the GFE. We will consider the role of the HUD-1 and HUD-1A in mortgage fraud prevention and how to explain the forms to borrowers.
Good Faith Estimate
A brief, but comprehensive, overview of the facts about the GFE, regulations and rules regarding preparation and delivery of the form to a borrower, and penalties for failure to conform to the regulations. We will also explore the relationship between the GFE and the Form HUD-1 (and/or HUD-1A). We will consider the role of the GFE in mortgage fraud prevention and how to explain the GFE to borrowers. The final section of the course will address the correct completion and delivery of the form.
